Endpiece:
"Why don't lions eat trees?"
 |
From time to
time we all fail to catch trout on what we think are
perfect flies, perfectly presented.
At times like this it helps to remember what the elephant said to the
giraffe when asked "Why don't lions eat trees?"
"Well, m'dear, apart from the fact that there aren't enough trees for
all of us, if they were the right size, shape and colour, were in the
right place at the right time and moved a bit more convincingly,
there's no reason why they shouldn't", replied the elephant. |
